Job Title: Embossing/Etching Development Engineer

1st Shift

Kings Mountain International, Inc., a global partner for embossed stainless steel moulds for the decorative surfaces industry, is seeking an individual with strong cognitive and technical skills to fill the role of Embossing/Etching Development Engineer. This integral role will assist in providing the collaborative initiative to bring design, technical and manufacturing, together to deliver consistent creativity and design innovations for our customers; and is one that will be mentored for possible future advancement.

Summary:  The Embossing/Etching Development Engineer works under the direction of the Design Integration Manager. The key responsibilities will include facilitating the development of processes to create steel moulds. Requires collaboration with the Product Development Manager to address specific customer specifications. Effectively communicates with manufacturing and sales teams as required. Assists in supervising up to ten (10) employees in three (3) areas.

Skills/Attributes: This individual possesses acute visual/aptitude skills, cognitive acuity:  Verbal/Math, Mechanical Reasoning, Ability, Production capacity/experience, Project Management, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  Large format printing, engraving/embossing.  Knowledge of metallurgical /alloy engineering, and/or industrial coatings is a plus.  Contributes creative and imaginative three-dimensional thinking to create embossing separations related to steel press plate development and finishing.  Ability to demonstrate leadership skills.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field is preferred; or a two- year degree with relevant industry experience.  Minimum three (3) years related industry work experience.

Job Title: HPL Chrome Plating Operator

1st Shift (7:00am to 3:00pm)

Kings Mountain International, Inc. in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking a Chrome Plating Operator for 1st shift.

Summary of Position: Tends chrome and other related process tanks that apply finish on surface of steel plates.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Operate crane/hoist to apply finish to plates.
• Use various measuring devices as required.
• Works with various hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain required work records and documentation.
• Comply with all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Perform other jobs and duties as assigned

The successful candidate will:
• be able to work 1st shift (Hours 7am to 3 pm) with some overtime required to include Saturdays/Sundays,
• be at least 18 years old,
• have a high school diploma or GED equivalent,
• possess an attention to detail,
• have one to three months of related experience and/or training

• have one to three months of manufacturing experience,
• past experience working with chemicals (preferred),
• be able to lift up to 50 lbs.,
• have a stable work history, and
• Pass a drug screening after an offer is made.

Typically, successful new hires receive a pay increase at around 90 days of employment based on performance.

Job Title: Precision Grinder

3rd Shift (11:00pm-7:00am)

Kings Mountain International, Inc. in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking a Precision Grinder for 3rd shift.

Summary of Position: Sets up and operates precision grinding machines to produce sheet metals of uniform thickness within close tolerance limits, and to prepare surface of sheets for polishing to a specified finish.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Operate and set up machines.
• Maintain required work records.
• Use various measuring devices as required.
• Comply with all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Other jobs and duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will:
• be able to work 3rd shift (Hours 11:00pm to 7:00am) with some overtime required to include Saturday/Sunday,
• be at least 18 years old,
• have a high school diploma or GED equivalent,
• possess a strong attention to detail,
• prefer at least three months manufacturing experience,
• prefer at least three months machine operation experience and/or training, other than a forklift, but not required,
• be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• be able to stand for long periods of time.
• have a stable work history.
• Pass a drug screening after an offer is made.

Selected candidate will train on 1st shift (7:00am to 3:00pm).  Once training is complete candidate will move to 3rd shift and will then receive a shift premium of $0.55/hour in addition to base rate of pay.

Typically, successful new hires receive a pay increase at around 90 days of employment.
