Kings Mountain Intl. is a manufacturing company and unique to the industry of metal processing of steel and various metals for the Laminating and Aero-space industries. Job Title: Precision Grinder

3rd Shift (11:00pm-7:00am)

Kings Mountain International, Inc. in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking a Precision Grinder for 3rd shift.

Summary of Position: Sets up and operates precision grinding machines to produce sheet metals of uniform thickness within close tolerance limits, and to prepare surface of sheets for polishing to a specified finish.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Operate and set up machines.
• Maintain required work records.
• Use various measuring devices as required.
• Comply with all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Maintains an awareness of safety and remains diligent to adhere to safety rules,

• Other jobs and duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will:
• be able to work 3rd shift (Hours 11:00pm to 7:00am) with some overtime required to include Saturday/Sunday,
• be at least 18 years old,
• have a high school diploma or GED equivalent,
• possess a strong attention to detail,
• prefer at least three months manufacturing experience,
• prefer at least three months machine operation experience and/or training, other than a forklift,
• be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• be able to stand for long periods of time.
• have a stable work history.
• Dependable work record,

• Pass a drug screening after an offer is made.

Selected candidate will train on 1st shift (7:00am to 3:00pm).  Once training is complete candidate will move to 3rd shift and will then receive a shift premium of $0.55/hour in addition to base rate of pay.

Typically, successful new hires receive a pay increase at around 90 days of employment based on performance.
