Job Title: Graphic Arts Assistant Manager

1st Shift (8:00am to 4:00pm)

Summary: Kings Mountain International, Inc. is a leader in the processing and finishing of architectural press plates for the laminating and aero-space industries, has an outstanding opportunity for a Graphic Arts Assistant Manager near Charlotte, NC. We are a privately-owned company just 30 miles west of Charlotte, NC, The home of the Carolina Panthers and NASCAR! We are nearly eighty strong and growing! We are seeking to hire for this new position.  We are seeking someone who is motivated, has experience with Spot Colors, as well as Process Colors; and who possesses a creative imagination for three-dimensional thinking.  This position has growth opportunity with the Company!

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Assists Director with fielding and completion of customer orders.
• Professionally communicates with customers, working to build client relations.
• Assists in the supervision of two Graphic Artists/Designers,

Job Title: Swarf Tech & Utility

2nd Shift (3:00 am to 11:00pm)

Kings Mountain International, Inc. in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking a Swarf Tech & Utility position.

Summary: Under the supervision of the 2nd Shift Supervisor, performs a variety of tasks as instructed with principle emphasis on preparing all swarf for recycling or disposal.  Cross-trained in shipping and receiving.  Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant and yard.  Performs other utility tasks as instructed.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Prepares titanium, stainless, aluminum and other types of swarf for recycling and/or disposal.
• Prepares drums for shipment, which includes proper identification, DOT labeling and marking as required.
• Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets and from trucks.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled.
• Cleans work area, empties trash, cuts worn belts needing replacement from grinders, and tracks wood inventory or making crates.
• Operates industrial truck or hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

The successful candidate will:
• be able to work 2nd shift (Hours 3pm to 11pm) with some overtime required to include Saturday/Sunday and must be able to report to work earlier than 7am if require,
• be at least 18 years old,
• high school diploma or GED (preferred),
• possess a strong attention to detail,
• have one to three months Shipping & Receiving experience,
• manufacturing experience (preferred),
• be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs,
• have a stable work history, and
• Pass a drug and alcohol screening after an offer is made.

Job Title: Dry Polish Operator

2nd Shift (3:00 am to 11:00pm)

Summary: Sets up and operates polishing machines to produce the required commercial grade finish on sheet metals or plates.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Sets up and operates machines.
• Runs plates to obtain customer specified finish.
• Directs and assists one or more helpers in loading, moving, and flipping sheets,
• Maintain required work records and documentation,
• Use various measuring devices as required,
• Comply with all company safety procedures and quality standards
• Perform other jobs and duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will:
• be able to work 2nd shift (Hours 3pm to 11pm) with some overtime required to include Saturdays/Sundays,
• be at least 18 years old,
• have a high school diploma or GED equivalent,
• possess a strong attention to detail,
• be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance,
• have a stable work history, and
• Pass a drug and alcohol screening after an offer is made,

Although machine operation experience is not required it may be preferred.  We do prefer some experience in a manufacturing environment.

Selected candidate will train on 1st shift (7:00am to 3:00pm).  Once training is complete candidate will move to 2nd shift and will then receive a shift premium of $0.45/hour in addition to base rate of pay.

Summary of Position: Tends chrome and other related process tanks that apply finish on surface of steel plates.

Responsibilities for this position include:
• Operate crane/hoist to apply finish to plates.
• Use various measuring devices as required.
• Works with various hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain required work records and documentation.
• Comply with all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Perform other jobs and duties as assigned

The successful candidate will:
• be able to work 2nd shift (Hours 3pm to 11pm) with some overtime required to include Saturdays/Sundays,
• be at least 18 years old,
• have a high school diploma or GED,
• possess an attention to detail,
• have at least one to three months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment,
• past experience working with chemicals (preferred),
• be able to lift up to 50 lbs.,

• have a stable work history, and
• Pass a drug and alcohol screening after an offer is made.

Selected candidate will train on 1st shift (7:00am to 3:00pm).  Once training is complete candidate will move to 2nd shift and will then receive a shift premium of $0.45/hour added to the base rate.

Selected candidate will train on 1st shift (7:00am to 3:00pm).  Once training is complete candidate will move to 2nd shift and will then receive a shift differential of $0.45/hour.

Summary of Position: This position processes metal plates through various sandblasting and peening to achieve customer specifications.

Responsibilities for this position include:

The successful candidate will:

• have at least one to three months of industrial machine operation experience, other than forklift,
• have at least one to three months of manufacturing experience,

• Lifts, positions, removes and flip plates from machines to carts.

• Clean plates preparing them for the next process.

Summary of Position: Sets up and operates precision grinding machines to produce sheet metals of uniform thickness within close tolerance limits, and to prepare surface of sheets for polishing to a specified finish.

• have at least six months manufacturing experience,
• have at least six months machine operation experience,
• be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• be able to stand for long periods of time.
• have a stable work history.
